Zeus is a special boy. Not only is he a very well behaved 6 year old pit mix weighing about 45 pounds, but he has one blue eye and one brown!! This guy is going to be a best friend to some lucky person. My boy Zeus (xxxx-xxxx) has been at VBAC&AC a few months now. That's a few months too long if you ask me :) Let's get this beautiful smart boy out of the shelter and into a home so he can get back to being the valuable family member he must has been at one time. He comes with lots of skills and would make a great addition to any dog savy family.
Zeus is a good boy with skills. He knows 'sit' 'focus' 'down' selectively, 'high five' with enthusiasm and targeting ('touch.') He learns quickly and has lots of cool personality to go with those beautiful eyes. He likes to chomp the leash when he needs to go out but a simple verbal correction has him letting go and sitting like a true gent. Tugging at it only encourages the game. He is a fun boy with loads to offer a new forever family.
Virginia Beach Animal Care & Adoption Center has wonderful pets available for adoption. As of December 6, all animals are now at the new shelter at 341 Birdneck Road. The former shelter on Leroy Drive is now closed. If you have lost a pet, please visit the shelter in person and often as lost animals arrive everyday.
