Chetah is a friendly girl who is about 5 years old, spayed, up-to-date on shots and tested negative for leukemia. She was injured when she was very young and has a back and hip deformity. She cannot run and sometimes walks a little different than other cats. Her left back leg does not have full mobility so sometimes she drags it. She has seen several veterinary specialists and they all agree she is not in any pain but the injuries will become arthritic. She is a super friendly cat and gets use to other cats and dogs if they do not chase her. She would do well with older children who do not run through the house or someone without children. She also would do best in a one level house so she wouldn't have to climb stairs. She uses wide pet stairs (bought in pet stores) in her foster home so she can climb onto beds to sleep with you. Virginia Beach Animal Care & Adoption Center has wonderful pets available for adoption. As of December 6, all animals are now at the new shelter at 341 Birdneck Road. The former shelter on Leroy Drive is now closed. If you have lost a pet, please visit the shelter in person and often as lost animals arrive everyday.
