To determine the extent of liability in attempting to collect optimum dollar recoveries for damages to the organization’s vehicles. Establishes realistic percentages for the damage receivable register to ensure accuracy; reviewing, and evaluating subrogation files to meet a monthly pre-determined revenue forecast. Essential duties and responsibilities, shown below, will vary accordingly based on assignment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reviews, investigates, analyzes, and negotiates damage recovery claims to determine the extent of liability in attempting to collect optimum dollar recoveries for damages to the organization’s vehicles. Establishes realistic percentages for the damage receivable register to ensure accuracy; reviewing, and evaluating subrogation files to meet a monthly pre-determined revenue forecast Responds to the organization’s recovery claim inquiries received by mail, fax, or phone. Works to reduce the organization’s loss to property by collecting from parties responsible for our damages via contractual obligations, subrogation, and breach of contract. Analyzes and approves settlements, releases, and closes assigned claims within the organization’s established policies and procedures. Works with the organization’s various Insurance, Customer Service, and Legal functions to research, resolve, and approve the organization’s claims. Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have formal supervision responsibilities. Responsibility Scope/Impact (only applies to job families and field positions) Level I works under the direct supervision of management or more senior analysts to prepare and process insurance claims. These positions have limited accountability for interpreting business results. Level l typically has a minimum of 0-2 years of insurance experience. Level II works independently on most routine tasks to process and resolve insurance claims. This position may be accountable for interpreting business results and assisting in developing insurance strategies and initiatives. Level II has a minimum of 2-3 years of insurance experience. Level lll works under minimal management and leads lower level analysts to investigate, prepare, develop, and resolve complex insurance claims.This position is required to interpret and analyze business results and insurance strategies. Level Ill has a minimum of 3+ years of insurance experience.Job RequirementsQualifications (may vary by level) Required Experience Associate’s Degree in business or 2 years business experience in an insurance function or related discipline. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of insurance process and terms. Strong project management skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Requires excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in teams. Travel Requirements Minimal travel is required.
